Footshop identity

Studio Najbrt (2020)

Along with a generational change that has moved streetwear into the main language of fashion, Footshop is growing from a domestic destination for sneakerheads to a head-to-toe brand for fashion victims, with an e-shop and brick-and-mortar stores in many parts of Europe. That’s why we devised an open system that retains its roots in the street, in graffiti, rap, skate and sneaker cultures, but is elevating Footshop to a more premium sector. It was essential that the new brand worked in the digital sphere and as well as embossed in leather, and that it could be developed into a lively a visual style, used for example for increasingly interesting collaborations with global brands, but still retained the expression of youth and boldness? But how? Do it yourself and on the phone? With pen on a napkin? Fork on TV screen? Vetements scarf soaked in cough syrup? Above all, in your own way and with confidence! Underline the spontaneity that the current digital immediacy places above perfection. Street smart audacity, with which you can strike through, tag narcissistically, but also create something new with a healthy dose of certain infantile optimism. Partly of your own – we are all used to customizing and algorithmically served personal playlists by now. However, an infinite number of logo lines ultimately find its foothold in the disciplined stability of the Foot Medium custom font. In the Foot Carbanica version, pre-made lines are easily applied in any document. But you should always be free to take a marker in hand and show us some fancy footwork.

Mockuuups identity

Studio Najbrt (2025)

What began more than ten years ago as a fun side project for quickly presenting websites, mobile apps, and other digital products has become a sought-after tool relied upon by designers around the world.

To ensure that the application would not be overlooked in a crowded world of similar tools and would be able to expand into other categories, it was given a new distinctive visual style based on endless combinations of generated patterns inspired by lost signal stripes, which can be easily adapted to any surface.

All of this is then brought together by a new logo set in a custom-modified Inter font with swapped vowels, which turned an earlier compromise resulting from an already taken domain into a distinctive element that we used to build a fun system that automatically carries over into all main texts and messages, as well as motion design.

Skô identity

Studio Najbrt (2025)

Slovakia has moved to Holešovice!

For the new Ambiente Skô restaurant, located in the Holešovice Market Hall, we created a simple logo inspired by the restaurant’s Slovak roots and the architectural design by Josef Pleskot’s studio. The interior features bold colours and simple forms, with a large, colourful cabinet dominating the dining area.

The entire visual identity draws upon the cabinet’s layout and colour scheme. Individual graphic elements are arranged, alternated, and adapted according to the specific application – ranging from menus, patterns, and various printed materials to traditional blue ceramics and the website.

SiteOne identity

Studio Najbrt (2022)

All for One!

After more than 20 years of its existence, the Czech technology company SiteOne has decided to take a fundamental step in its visual communication. To meet this goal, we have prepared a new modular system based on the distinctive name (One), which is complemented by a simple morphology based on the square (Site) – pixel metaphor as the beginning of building digital projects. From this, other sub-brands are derived, which gives them their own identity and further supports the visual style of the whole company. The word One becomes the center of overal communication, offering a large number of combinations and short messages.

Ableton Note app

Internship (2017)

The brand new Ableton Note mobile app was released last week, and I’m very excited to finally show bits and pieces of my work on this project, which I participated in as an intern in Berlin in 2016.

My task for 3 months was to build on the already created research and come up with basic UX structure, try different visual explorations and make a working prototype which was then presented to the wider company leadership for further development approval.

The whole process was very interesting and I’m very happy to see the app out after such a long time!

Here are a few samples from the first few phases of the concept that were discussed and further developed after leaving my internship. Thanks to everyone involved!

Biano visual identity

Freelance (2023)

Introducing our latest freelance collaboration for Biano, where we were asked to reimagine their current identity and set them up for the next chapter of their company, which was growing so quickly that they needed a visual identity that allows them to easily expand the other sub-brands and library of creatives in day-to-day communication.

Biano is a visual search engine and aggregator for furniture and decoration products that allows you to easily search for anything you need for your home from one place and even allows advanced features such as mood-board creation of visual search based on the way something looks.

We came up with a simple, straightforward and fun system based on a library of basic shapes and five complementary colours that create numerous combinations in various compositions, be it something more as specific as a sofa or more abstract as patterns that can be used on a website, social post, poster or a tape.

The logotype itself is based on the Avantt typeface by Displaay Type Foundry and further uses elements from the system to tie it all together.

A big part of the identity is also various sets of pictograms, badges and icons for every use case that the internal team further developed along with the new website.

All of this is documented in a very detailed Figma brand manual that showcases all the basic principles for everything mentioned above and uses the power of the auto-layout feature to keep everything tidy and easily manageable.

Big thanks to everyone involved.

Fabini logo redesign

Freelance (2022)

Presenting new Fabini logo which we did at the start of 2022. After two years of the previous logo, the internal team came to conclusion that the visual system that was created before didn’t fit the new goals that the team set out. Not the easiest brief to replace something you’ve done before and was confident in, but we were asked to create something more technical, simple and futuristic, which could be used in different ways as the new team settles on direction that works for them as they still find their product design language.

We’ve presented many versions, some more evolutionary and some more radical, but in the end we settled on this version based on great Denim typeface by Displaay with simple rounded details, that again take inspiration from the products themselves.

The rounded effect is than repeated in the pictogram design, which describe the most basic functions of the pots and pans and could be used in other parts of the identity which the internal teams took over.

Fabini identity refresh

Freelance (2020)

Fabini is a young but progressive brand operating in not a very progressive field of crockery making, hoping to attract both new and older customers who are looking for quality equipment for reasonable money. We were asked by Kiduo to help Jan along his journey and together with photographers from WeAre create a new visual identity that will better capture his ideas and point of view in the next chapter of his company.

That meant an update to his current logotype, that is now more harmonically shaped, and more inspired by his pots and pans. It also features a signature curve in the underline which can be seen in various patterns used through the identity, packaging and even in pictograms. We also selected a new company typeface and picked new colours inspired by rustic Italy and it’s hot summers, where the newest collection of pots are being manufactured.

We also completely redesigned his company website to better reflect all these changes and better tell his original story. Who’s gonna do the dishes now? Bon Appétit!

KVIFF.TV digital

Studio Najbrt (2021)

The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, under the acronym KVIFF, is expanding its activities with the KVIFF.TV film platform, KVIFF Classics festival of digitally restored films, KVIFF.TV Park multifunctional space and other projects like KVIFF Talents, KVIFF Events and KVIFF Distribution.

We created a logo system for the entire KVIFF Group, based on a distinctive, strong logotype that allows for numerous subdivisions. The system is complemented by a variable visual style with pictograms, a colour palette and motion design, which of course made its way onto the kviff.tv website.

IzaakReich.com

Studio Najbrt (2024)

The Izaak Reich Glassworks, founded by Adam Havlíček in 2022 on the Zikmundov estate, continues the more than 150-year tradition and legacy of Izaak Reich, the founder of the local glassmaking dynasty from the 19th century. The first Linden collection, inspired by the shape of a lime leaf from a tree at the original glassworks, is the work of glass designer Rony Plesl. The development on the shape of the glasses also involved the Moravian winemaker Jaromír Gala.

The IZAAK REICH logo, with contrasting shading of the strokes and subtle serifs at the letter ‘I’, is complemented by the symbol-slit IR, inspired by the foot of the glass, which also adorns its stem. The Untitled Sans sans-serif font and hot stamping in the colour of molten glass underline the high quality of this small glassworks.

The visual style is consistently reflected in the functional and eco-friendly packaging designed by Jan Činčera, the company’s printed materials, leaflets and certificates, right through to the bespoke e-commerce website.

The new Hodinářství Bechyně premium website builds on the new visual identity from last year and presents this traditional brand in a new light and in the online environment. Greater emphasis on the stories within the magazine, rich product galleries, small interactions, simplified navigation and overall space for typography and clarity should evoke the atmosphere of a personal visit to HB boutiques before you decide to go to it, whether you are looking for Rolex or something smaller.

Lucerna Music Bar website

Studio Najbrt (2019)

The Lucerna Music Bar website is changing two years after the logo and visual style change. Strong black-and-white typography helps clarity on a variety of devices even after several cocktails, the pages of individual events follow the system of posters in the streets, but otherwise the site using optional color filters and other effects indicates the energy of the experience of the club itself. We will meet in the first row (or in the toilet queue).

Ambi.cz

Studio Najbrt (2019)

Ambiente is not only a group of restaurants, but mainly an environment created by people with the same view of gastronomy. Over the course of more than twenty-five years of history, they have gathered know-how that they like to share in the spirit of their hospitality. Therefore, we replaced the previous purposeful austerity of Ambiente with stories, insights, and principles that would make many housewives (and the Lord) jump over the fence. They are complemented by clearly structured information pages with a picture index of restaurants as well as electronic versions of A* magazine. And if you’re just looking for a lunch menu, you’ll find it in the side menu - at least until the evening!
